專業概況

Globalisation is here to stay and the number of active international industries continues to grow each year. The LLM in International Commercial Law is a specialist legal course which will develop your understanding of the nature of international commercial law and regulation. It is suitable for individuals already working in the legal sector, as well as those looking to increase their knowledge in this area.

You can study aspects of commercial law that have international relevance, and consider specific issues that arise in commercial and consumer law. You will also explore different aspects of globalisation and how the law influences and responds to these. Outside of term time you will have the opportunity to volunteer in the University’s Legal and Financial Advice Clinic. There you will have the chance to put the knowledge and skills you have gained on the course into practice. The Clinic will allow you to engage directly with the legal profession, and work with a number of reputable law firms.

Careers

If you want to enter the exciting field of international commerce, this course will give you the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in international law firms, international banking and other sectors of the economy.

Our Careers and Employability Service

As a USW student, you will have access to advice from the Careers and Employability Service throughout your studies and after you graduate.

This includes: one-to-one appointments from faculty based Career Advisers, in person, over the phone or even on Skype and through email via the "Ask a Question" service. We also have extensive online resources for help with considering your career options and presenting yourself well to employers. Resources include psychometric tests, career assessments, a CV builder, interview simulator and application help. Our employer database has over 2,000 registered employers targeting USW students, you can receive weekly email alerts for jobs.

Our Careers service has dedicated teams: A central work experience team to help you find relevant placements; an employability development team which includes an employability programme called Grad Edge; and an Enterprise team focused on new business ideas and entrepreneurship.

為來自中國的學生設計 Holders of a good Honours Bachelor degree will be considered for postgraduate Masters degree courses. Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies. IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 for postgraduate study with at least a 5.5 in each component.
