With safety, health and environmental issues becoming increasingly important, there is a growing demand for professionals with the right skills.

The MSc Safety, Health and Environmental Management degree produces such health and safety practitioners, who can identify, assess and solve health, safety and environmental problems by applying the principles of good management.

You will develop your knowledge of technical subject areas through an extension into managing health and safety, while giving due consideration to the sustainable economic development of business and the environment.

We intend to deliver our courses in a blended format; with a proportion of the teaching and learning being delivered digitally, and where it is safe to do so, some teaching and learning being delivered in person and using social distancing and/or mitigating measures as deemed appropriate in line with government guidance.

Assessment

Many modules are continually assessed while other modules are a mixture of continuous assessment and examination.

Careers

This programme has been accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Enrolled students can access IOSH Student Membership for the duration of their studies and, on successful completion, they will meet the academic requirements for Graduate (Grad IOSH) membership.

Graduate membership is the gateway to Chartered status. As IOSH is the only organisation in the world that offers Chartered membership to health and safety practitioners, this can help you achieve the highest professional standards and gain international recognition.

Our strong industrial and commercial links help us tailor our courses to meet employer’s needs, and ensure you graduate with the right skills to develop an exciting, dynamic career in construction. This industry relationship has been formalised into the Built Environment Strategic Forum (BESF). 為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Holders of a good Honours Bachelor degree will be considered for postgraduate Masters degree courses. Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies. IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 for postgraduate study with at least a 5.5 in each component.
