Degree Description

The Lamar University Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering focuses on the design and development of technology that controls and manages electrons and photons, or simply, electricity and light.

Electrical Engineers develop careers in many different industries from telecommunications and electronics to aerospace and automotive as well as manufacturing of all kinds. Electrical engineers are involved in power generation, distribution and nearly anything that uses electricity or light such as power companies and laser technology companies.

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering at Lamar University is a hybrid program, meaning you will take classes in an online format and meet in the classroom to deepen your understanding. You can also complete the program remotely, attending Lamar University without relocating. All BSEE courses can be completed via distance learning.
