With millions of students nationwide receiving special education services, there is a demand for highly educated teachers who can work with students at all skill levels. Our special education master’s degree provides students with a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. Our graduates are prepared to adapt and teach general education, reading, writing, and math to students across a continuum from those with mild and moderate disabilities to those with complex needs. With your master's in special education, you will be equipped to teach basic skills, such as literacy and communication techniques. Our innovative program offers the option to complete the master’s degree in conjunction with a teacher licensure program or independently.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be admitted to PSU for a master’s program, applicants must satisfy University requirements and be accepted by the academic department in which the graduate study will occur. Admission eligibility is based on receipt of a baccalaureate degree equivalent to a United States four-year bachelor's degree from a college or university recognized as an institution of higher education by the Ministry of Education in the relevant country or be regionally accredited within the U.S. Regular Admission: To be considered for regular admission, applicants must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or the equivalent (on the U.S. 4.0 scale). Applicants who have earned 9 or more letter-graded graduate credits must have a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent; this graduate GPA supersedes the undergraduate GPA. IELTS: 6.5 overall score with minimum sub scores of 6.5 in reading and writing, TOEFL score of Paper-based: 550 overall; 22 in writing with 20 in reading and listening, TOEFL score of Internet-based: Minimum overall score of 80 with minimum sub scores of 18 in reading and writing, PTE - Academic: 60 overall.
