專業概況

在這里學什么？ This is a joint honours course, where you study English Language and Linguistics alongside Education Studies. English Language and Linguistics will enable you to explore how language works as a complex system and why English has become the global language of communication. You will examine the ways in which the language, and other forms of meaning, are structured and used for different purposes in a range of contexts – local, national and global. Oxford is the ideal city in which to study English Language and Linguistics, with a vibrant literary community, and cultural and literary events taking place throughout the year. It is also a very international city – with students and residents from a wide range of backgrounds. In today’s fast changing world, education plays a pivotal role. Education Studies equips you with a depth of understanding about education’s role in a diverse society, both within and beyond the UK. It takes a broad, academically rigorous approach whilst giving you the opportunity to focus on key issues in education of particular interest to you.
