專業概況

在這里學什么？

This programme is research-oriented. A student is required to:

• Complete an approved programme of supervised research;
• Present a written thesis which demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge and understanding in the candidate’s field of study and which describes and summarizes the research undertakings and findings;
• Satisfy the Board of Examiners in an oral examination (and any other examination if deemed necessary), on matters relevant to the subject of the thesis; and
• Comply with supervision, attendance and all coursework requirements as laid down by the respective Faculty/ School/AVA.

Finance and Decision Sciences (FDS)

This programme covers the following research areas: financial derivatives; risk management; portfolio management and securities analysis; behavioural finance; investment strategy; market micro-structure; corporate finance; corporate governance; corporate restructuring; management information systems; management science; e-commerce; operations research; information system ethics; adoption of information technology; behavioural aspect of information technology; information technology in education; information systems in SMES; telecommunications and multimedia management; business intelligence; knowledge management; e-logistics and supply chain management; e-marketing and customer relationship management; and information systems auditing.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor's degree for admission to a Taught Postgraduate degree programme; English Language Requirements: TOEFL - 550 (Paper-based), 79 (Internet-based); or IELTS (Academic): Overall Band at 6.5; or CET-6 (College English Test band 6): 450.
