In this combined degree you will develop technical expertise in your chosen engineering stream and complementary project management skills. Along with engineering, you will study core project management subjects including project finance, complex project coordination, analytics, risk management, organisational behaviour and psychology.

You can combine any engineering stream (Aeronautical, Biomedical, Chemical and Biomolecular, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, and Software) with a Bachelor of Project Management.

In today's complex world, there is an increasing demand for professionals who can leverage technical expertise to lead challenging projects.

Complementing your engineering studies, the Bachelor of Project Management covers the fundamental project management skills, theories and methods required to help organisations deliver new products, services and infrastructure.

You can complete this combined degree in five years of full-time study, after which you will graduate with two qualifications. With a wide range of career options spanning the commercial and public sectors, your skills and experiences will position you to take a lead role in innovation and development.

There are over 15 engineering majors to choose from. Depending on your engineering stream, some majors may require additional study. Certain majors may also have limited capacity. There is no requirement to complete a major.

Career opportunities upon completion of this combined degree are varied as project management skills are transferable across industries. Graduates of the Bachelor of Engineering Honours/Bachelor of Project Management degree will be highly sought after and could work in professional and management roles in property development, construction, mining, IT, banking and finance, state or federal

Future study options

After completing the Bachelor of Engineering Honours, further study is available via research or coursework. The faculty provides a link between postgraduate students in the different Engineering and IT disciplines. We offer a welcoming and supportive environment in which to undertake challenging coursework programs and research. Our postgraduate coursework and research is focused on industrial applications supported by strong fundamental research programs run by internationally recognised academics.
