Develops leaders who can address the challenges of early childhood and advocate for all children and families. With a focus on diversity and social justice, graduates learn to empower underserved populations and create opportunities where they are most needed.

You have a passion for ensuring that the youngest learners succeed, and now you’re ready to become a leader in the field of early childhood education. CU Denver’s Master of Arts in Leadership for Educational Organizations in Early Childhood Education is a specialized program for alumni of the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Certificate. This degree will take your knowledge and education even further; developing you into a leader who can address the challenges of early childhood and advocate for all children and families. With a focus on diversity and social justice, you will learn to empower underserved populations and create opportunities where they are most needed.

Understand development of young children and how they learn best.

Maximize family involvement and understand its effects on learning.

Follow best practices based on the history, trends and evolution of early childhood education and the latest research.

Courses

The Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program (BECLP) Alumni from CU Denver, can utilize 15 of the 18 semester hours of the completed BECLP courses (ECED courses 5000-level or higher) toward the Early Childhood Education concentration. To utilize the coursework toward the MA, the ECED courses need be posted on the CU Denver transcript with minimum grades of B- or higher (and the MA requires a cumulative GPA of 3.0).

為來自中國的學生設計 The applicant has earned a bachelor’s degree in the US or has successfully completed a minimum of 2 semesters (a minimum of 12 credits) of full-time study in a graduate-level master’s program at an accredited institution in the US and obtained a “B” (3.00) cumulative GPA or higher. The applicant obtains a composite score of 75 or above on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL, iBT) (minimum subscores of 15 in Reading, 15 in Listening, 19 in Speaking, and 20 in Writing) or a composite score of 6.5 or above on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (minimum subscores of 5.5 in each area).
